Hippie Sabotage Portland Concert reviews
Too many openers, they've had better openers, good otherwise
As always, Hippie Sabotage was excellent. Their performance was always on point, and the sound was mostly good. I felt like they should've had another 20 to 30 minutes to fit their (small) setlist in, thereby giving us a track or 2 from Us Vs. Them, and maybe 1 or 2 more from Sound Of Madness. Last year was their best lineup in years with Red Sun Rising and Godsmack. I felt like there were just too many openers, which further took time away from Hippie Sabotage. Personally, I thought they should've had another 20 to 30 minutes, thereby giving us a track or 2 from Us Vs. Them. 1 or 2 more from Sound Of Madness, maybe, preferably I wish there was 1 less opener and maybe even 1 with more name recognition. Excellent as always, Hippie Sabotage. They're always on point in terms of performance. The headliner who the ticket buyers came to see should've gotten considerably more time if it's going to be 2 unknown openers and 1 barely peaking one. It was cool having them perform all over making it worth the $ of those in cheap seats. In terms of performance, they're always on point, the sound was mostly good, but PNC hasn't had them sound good for a few years (they were EH sounding with Godsmack 9.1.18), but this was too much of the label trying to shove the new generation down our throats. I felt like it was slightly rushed along overalls. I felt like to fit their (small) setlist in, they had to rush it a bit so songs felt quicker than they normally would.
